Metrocommute's PhoneBrowsertm is an exciting new way to access travel information using your telephone, combining state of the art voice technology with Metrocommute Real-Time Traffic & Transit reports.
Just say the name of the road, bridge, tunnel or transit line and Metrocommute's PhoneBrowsertm will give you an up-to-the-minute report for as many roads and lines as you like, every time you call.
Available Commands:
Say "STOP" during the reading of a report to go back to the previous menu.
Due to limitations in speech recognition technology you will get more accurate results when speaking numbers if you speak out the entire number. For example: say 287 as two-hundred eighty-seven and 101 as one-hundred one.
The notation works as follows:
Content in brackets is optional and does not need to be spoken.
The | symbol works as a logical or operator.
Parenthesis group multiple options.
For example: Brooklyn Queens [Expressway]|(Interstate|I) 278 | BQE
Means that you can say: "Brooklyn Queens" (with an optional "Expressway")
OR you can say: ("Interstate" OR "I") AND "278" (i.e. - "I 278" or "Interstate 278")
OR you can say: BQE
